WFN e-Learning Hub External Resources

The eLearning Hub external resources is a directory of high-level educational activities from global sources via electronic media on the internet. These activities will include teaching rounds, seminars, webinars, master classes, conferences, and special lectures hosted by universities, university-affiliated hospitals, specialty societies, and WFN member countries.

Submission Criteria

Featured links to are to educational e-learning (video) material by external providers.  The WFN e-Communication and e-Learning (eC&eL) Subcommittee evaluates the external links based on the following criteria:

  1. Links must direct to sites that belong to a non-profit or academic or healthcare institutions that are of high or reputable standing.
  2. The educational resource is free to access and does not require additional payment or subscription to access the complete resource that is being linked from the WFN website.
  3. English as the spoken language
  4. Videos must be part of an academic or organizational teaching programme.
  5. Featured speakers or presenters are qualified experts in the field or are well published in recognised scientific journals
  6. No advertisement and pharma or other industrial promotion allowed.
  7. The hosting site is responsible for all materials and copyright issues.
  8. Conflicts of interest are to be clearly declared.

Exceptions to the above criteria may be made if both chairs of the eC&eL subcommittee agree and provide a written statement to explain the reasons for the exception. This must be co-signed by the chairs of the WFN education committee.
